Dr. Scott Han graduated with honors from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA where he was the President of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. He received several awards for exceptional patient care and academic performance. Dr. Han then completed an ASCO accredited Ocular Disease residency affiliated with The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. This additional training concentrated on surgical co-management, complex disease management, and clinical research. After residency he received his Fellowship from The American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Han is an FDA clinical trial investigator for both medications and medical devices and has helped these new treatments through FDA approval so they can be made available to our patients. Dr. Han lectures nationally to physicians and has written journal articles and presented posters at national meetings. Dr. Han was the first in the area to create a specialized Dry Eye Clinic incorporating the latest ocular surface disease technologies and procedures, newest prescription medications, and highest quality nutraceuticals. The Dry Eye Spa combines an Accredited Dry Eye Center of Excellence and Center for Regenerative Medicine.
Dr. Han lives in Sarasota with his wife and daughters.
